Sandplay

Sandplay or the World Technique was developed by Jungian Analyst, Dora Kalff and Margaret Lowenstein in the early twentieth century. Sandplay is creative, gentle, immersive and profound hands-on psychological work. It is a powerful therapeutic technique that facilitates psyche’s natural capacity for healing.

In this creative form of psychotherapy, the client creates a concrete manifestation (diorama) from his or her imagination using sand, water and miniature objects. The process of creation is emphasised. With a sandbox and a large collection of miniatures, a client can explore the deeper layers of the psyche in a totally new format.
